4 Year Old Classes
The 4 year classes meet on Mondays and Wednesdays. Parents of 4 year olds have the option for a two-day-per-week program or a three-day-per-week program. Children who are registered for three days per week will also attend Friday mornings.
Depending on enrollment, CABC Preschool will offer two 4 year old classes. The morning class meets from 9:15 to 11:45 a.m., while the afternoon class meets from 12:15 to 2:45 p.m. The third (optional) day, Friday meets from 9:15 to 11:45 a.m. Tuition for the 2 day per week option is $105.00 per month and $140.00 for the 3 day per week option. Tuition is to be paid on or before the first of each month.
The 4 year old class is designed to prepare preschoolers for the Kindergarten experience. Preschoolers brush up on fine motor development; cutting skills and holding writing utensils correctly. The children work hard and practice writing their names as well as learning numbers from 0 to 20; both counting and recognizing the number itself.
The letters of the alphabet is another focus for the 4 year old class. Throughout the course of the year, children are introduced to the letters of the alphabet, both upper and lower case. The sounds that each letter makes is also a focal point for this class.
The CABC Preschool teacher strives to know what is expected from children as they enter Kindergarten and what teachers are looking at during any Kindergarten screenings they may have.
Children enrolled in the 4 year old program must be 4 years of age on or before September 1 of the school year in which they are enrolling and must be potty trained.
